One-on-one career coaching built around clarity, traction, and better outcomes.
RightStep Career Coaching was formerly known as Resume Advisor and continues under the same ownership.
Jonathan has been working one-on-one with professionals since 2017, helping them improve their positioning, gain traction in their job search, and land stronger roles with higher compensation.
He has worked with clients across industries including tech, finance, healthcare, and operations, many of whom came in struggling to get responses or convert interviews and went on to secure new roles within 60–90 days.
What makes Jonathan’s approach different is the level of direct involvement. Clients are not passed off to a team or pushed through a template. They work with him personally to identify what is not working, sharpen how they present themselves, and build a strategy that actually fits their background and goals.
Prior to career coaching, Jonathan built his background working with organizations including Accenture, Ernst & Young, and Target Corporation. He earned his B.A. from UC Berkeley, where he was selected as the valedictory speaker.
The process is practical, direct, and highly personalized.
Not everyone is dealing with the same problem, so the process is not treated like they are.
Some clients need help clarifying direction.
Some need help telling their story.
Some need help improving confidence and interview performance.
Some need help with overall strategy and execution.
Many need a mix of all four.
What clients consistently value is that Jonathan helps them diagnose the actual issue instead of guessing at surface-level fixes.
The support is built around your background, your target, and your specific obstacles.
If something is not landing, the goal is to identify it clearly and fix it.
You work directly with Jonathan throughout the process.
This is not just about theory. It is about helping you show up better in the market.
The work is designed to help you get more traction, improve performance, and move toward stronger roles, offers, and compensation.
Because they want direct access, honest feedback, and support that reflects their actual situation.
Not a script. Not a template. Not a handoff.
Clients work directly with Jonathan because the issues people face in their search are too personal and too important for a cookie-cutter process.
They want someone who can quickly identify what is off, help them make sense of it, and guide them through a strategy that feels focused, practical, and tailored to them.
That is what this process is designed to provide.
One of the things clients mention most often is how personal the process feels.
They were not getting generic advice. They were getting direct support built around what they specifically needed to fix.
Whether the challenge was clarity, positioning, interviews, or overall strategy, clients valued having someone in their corner who was deeply involved in the process and focused on helping them move toward a better outcome.
